I started DJ’ing at the age of 11 at my local community centre in Gorleston Great Yarmouth on a Monday and Thursday Evening, after a few months I brought my own equipment and took over the local youth club disco on a Wednesday night, so then doing 3 nights per week.
At the age of 13 I did my first wedding reception and by 14 I was a resident DJ at a night club in Great Yarmouth on Thursday nights.
I joined Hospital Radio Yare when I was sixteen and became resident DJ at The Stardust Night Club in Hemsby 7 Nights a week which I did for three years, the back to various venues on the Great Yarmouth Sea Front. I was then asked to become resident DJ at the 151 Club on King Street in Great Yarmouth playing Funk and Soul in the club upstairs which also had a feeder bar downstairs, which I put my mobile set up in to become the Disco Bar on King Street which was a huge success.
In 1986 I launched a brand new Venue on King Street Called Monroes Night Club which grew to 18.500 members.

1989 I was working at Hollywood’s Ipswich with Jeff Young, Busta Brooker, Ray Keith doing a monthly soul night, when the General Manager of Tiffany’s Great Yarmouth came to see me work and offered me the job as main jock in the main room, working with Radio one DJ’s every Mon,Wed & Fri and major acts on a Saturday night Sister Sledge, Edwin Starr, The Real Thing, plus major top 40 act of the time.      
I was involved with a Radio Station Called Bass 100 FM which would broadcast over the weekend from Fri to Sunday nonstop.
1993 I started an RSL radio station Coastal Radio in Great Yarmouth which I was programme controller we had three very successful trials and the area was put on the then Radio Authority Working List, unfortunately we were not successful with our application for the local FM Station.
I was then Resident DJ at The Ocean Room In Gorleston Great Yarmouth at its legendary Thursday Night with people travelling from all over to be there.
I was poached by Luminar Leisure to go and work at their first night club The Garibaldi Great Yarmouth and also to work on a new venture Chicago Rock Café of which they had opened 6 venues, I ended up traveling 1000 miles a week and working 7 nights, Luton Milton Keynes, Bedford, Kings Lynn, Bury St Edmunds, Braintree and Ipswich plus new openings for the company.
Still Perusing Radio as My Dream Job I was Working on Mercury FM in West Sussex for a short time and then Weekend Breakfast show on 103.4 The Beach when the service Launched for Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, I was on the air for 6 weeks when I was asked to joined the Team at Amber Radio which became Classic Gold I was networked across three transmitters at Norwich, Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds.
When the station took national network, I was made Redundant and went back to DJ’ing On Great Yarmouth Seafront, then being asked to go Back To The Ocean Room In Gorleston where I am to this day.
About Three Years ago I launched a new radio station for Great Yarmouth called Harbour Radio again with an RSL and an application to Ofcom for a community radio station and was awarded the 5 year FM licence which should be on air by August 2017.
Having a passion for Soul and Funk Music I present a weekly show on Soulbeat Radio on a Monday Evening From 6pm – 8pm UK Time called Soul is "My Kinda Music".
